DogDoov Dog Beds are supplied as a cover and internal net which is used to hold the filling, so they can be easily changed out and washed. Resellers will be delighted to be able to display up to 30 dog beds in a Point-of-Sale stand that takes up less than a metre width of floor space in store.

My product is the anti-panic dog snood. Market need was a friend asking if I could help her dog who was suffering from sound anxiety on the approach of firework night. I ordered some materials and made my very first dog snood. It worked, my friend told me “you have to sell these, they are fantastic”

So I sold them on my own little online store. A few sold and I thought nothing more of it. Over the space of a weekend I was suddenly inundated with orders. 30 were ordered in the space of a few hours. There followed a rush order of materials and a week stuck behind my sewing machine making them. The orders kept coming in…

It turns out the multiple successes were published on various social media groups and the orders just kept mounting up. Success followed success.
Over the past 3 years I have gone from making them myself to having them made, I simply could not keep up with the demand. The most recent versions have added better sound suppression materials, adjustable and having them made releases me to work on other products.

This is the true story, it's not a conventional story of seeing market need, developing a business plan or thinking about advertising, it was first opportunity and secondly wanting to help animals in need.

The first snoods were sold for £15 but the new improved designs have more expensive materials and are adjustable so am now selling them for £22. I am not yet VAT registered and am operating as a sole trader.
