Pet care product showcase
Thursday 24 June 2010, Paris
www.globalpetexpo.org
The British embassy in Paris is planning a showcase
of pet care products from the UK. The one-day event
on 24 June will be held on the terrace overlooking
the embassy garden and targeted at the leading pet
care distributors, wholesalers and retail chains in
France. Entrance to the product showcase will be by
invitation only.
The embassy’s commercial team are keen to feature
new, innovative and stimulating products that demonstrate
British flair in the pet care sector. The size of
the venue and the tightly focused nature of the event
mean that it will be limited to a maximum of 20 exhibitors.
Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served
basis.

Membership of PetQuip offers help and cost savings
in obtaining refunds of VAT paid in the EU
A new electronic VAT refund procedure will be introduced
across the EU for all claims submitted after 1 January
2010 to replace the current paper-based system. Businesses
established in the UK will submit claims for VAT incurred
in other EU countries on a standardised form through
the UK Government Gateway, rather than direct to the
Member State of Refund as at present.

scheme guidance (PDF116K)
To help unravel these mysteries and leave you free
to concentrate on developing your business, PetQuip
has negotiated reduced rates for our members with
one of the country’s leading VAT recovery specialists.
As a member of PetQuip, that means you qualify for
discounted fees for reclaiming VAT paid in the EU
– and can let someone else get on with the work
of retrieving your refunds. The even better news is
that no fees are payable to the recovery specialist
until your refunds are received.
