Global Pet Expo 2011

Global Pet Expo 2011, Orlando, USA
Wed 16 – Fri 18 March

www.globalpetexpo.org

“We are confident that as a result of the show we will generate substantial business in the USA and worldwide” - British exhibitor group member at GPE 2010

Cash grants of £1,800 for eligible British exhibitors

Global Pet Expo, the largest North American trade show for the pet care sector, is presented by the American Pet Products Association (APPA) and Pet Industry Distributors Association (PIDA). The show is open to independent retailers, distributors, mass-market buyers and other qualified professionals. It is not open to the public.

This year’s Global Pet Expo featured 803 exhibitors, 2,250 booths and more than 3,000 new product launches. It attracted 4,495 pet care product buyers from around the world.

Following the success of the first ever British exhibitor group at Global Pet Expo 2010, planning is well underway for next year’s event. The show organisers are offering an attractive exhibitor package and PetQuip has secured grant support of £1,800 for eligible British firms under UK Trade & Investment’s Tradeshow Access Programme. However, numbers are limited so would-be exhibitors should apply now to avoid disappointment.

For application forms and more information, please phone Emma Lewis or Theresa Swann on +44 (0) 1959 565 995 or email emma@petquip.com or theresa@petquip.com.

Zoomark has worldwide appeal

May 2011 sees the 14th edition of Zoomark International. Held in Bologna in alternate years to Interzoo, Nuremberg, Zoomark justifiably describes itself as an international trade fair. The 2009 edition of Zoomark had 616 exhibitors from 36 countries and drew 20,443 trade visitors from 65 markets. Nearly 5,000 of those visitors came from outside Italy. The close proximity of Bologna to Central and Eastern Europe draws buyers from those rapidly developing markets for consumer goods (among a host of others), thus providing an added incentive for British suppliers to exhibit at the fair.

Notwithstanding the global economic downturn, the Italian market for pet supplies remains in good health. Euromonitor International forecasts that the €4 billion Italian pet care industry will continue to grow at a rate of about three per cent during the next four years. It says that pet healthcare will remain dynamic, as will both economy and super-premium pet foods. Accessories, particularly clothing, also show great growth potential, as consumers are willing to spend on their pets as if they were their children.

PetQuip is organising a British pavilion at the biennial event for the third time and will be bidding for grant funding for eligible British exhibitors under UK Trade & Investment’s Tradeshow Access Programme. The outline of the package deal for British firms is now available. To obtain a copy and register your interest in joining the British exhibitor group at Zoomark International 2011, please contact Emma Lewis or Theresa Swann by email at emma@petquip.com; theresa@petquip.com; or phone +44 (0) 1959 565 995.

BETA International aims to be global hub

With its international flavour intensified by a powerful overseas marketing campaign and more than 85 per cent of stand space already spoken for, BETA International 2011 is preparing to take its place as the global hub for trade in the equestrian, pet care and country clothing markets.

Last year saw almost 4,500 visitors from 36 different countries arrive at the show for three days of business and networking. BETA International is confident that 2011 will see an increase in buyers - from small independents to multi-national operations - seeking the perfect platform for international trade.

“We bring together the finest companies and powerful decision makers and buyers from across the world, providing them with a truly inspirational yet neutral environment for positive trading,” says Claire Thomas, commercial manager of the show’s organiser EMC.

With NewZone stands from as little as £845+VAT and a competitive trade association rate, PetQuip members are presented with a great opportunity to take part in this landmark show. This stand option offers an all-inclusive package with a table, two chairs, carpeting, lighting and a fascia board provided as standard.
